The Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation in collaboration with ST. Karol School of Nursing and the Tobinco Group of Companies organized Health Screening and Blood Donation Exercise on 6th April, 2019 at the Atinka Media Village. The theme was: “saving lives through blood donation”. The step was undertaken to educate people on the need for blood donation and also to motivate them to voluntarily donate blood towards restocking the National Blood Service. The event began with various health screening exercises which gave participants the opportunity to know their health status. The tests included; fasting blood-sugar, Vital signs, body-mass index (BMI), malaria, breast cancer, HIV etc. Participants who were medically fit to donate blood did so.
