Skills Development Training

The skills development training is funded by GIZ since 2012 and it is been implemented in 6 regions in Ghana. Tuition fees and apprenticeship training is been taken care of by Ghana Skills Development Initiative (GSDI) a department with German Cooperation (GIZ). The apprenticeship trainings is handled by the Master craft Associations.

Skills development training is a flagship program for Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation under Secured Livelihood and Economic Empowerment Program. Every year SAT Foundation trains at least 2 beneficiaries with Master craft persons. In view of that the Foundation approached GIZ and enrolled 17 of its beneficiaries this year 2018 into Garment training and 20 into Electronics. The project is a 3 year program by which the beneficiaries will attend COTVET Accredited schools and attached to Master craft persons for practicals. Monitoring of beneficiaries will be conducted together with GSDI, Master craft persons and Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation.

Before the start of the program, an orientation was conducted to beneficiaries and Master craft Association in order to understand the project and ask relevant questions bothering their mind.
