Three years old Regina, after several clinical evaluations including echocardiogram confirmed to have a hole-in-heart condition known as ventricular septal defect, VSD. For further management she has to undergo an open-heart surgery to correct the defect. The Foundation supported her with an amount of GH16,000 equivalent to $2,640 out of the $6,000 bill which includes cost of further investigations, surgery, anesthesia, intensive care and boarding for a maximum period of two weeks.
